2015 What a Year!

2015... Where do I begin? This post has been a pretty mammoth task to put together, but I am really pleased that I decided to create a round up post for the year as it's made me reflect on what a really incredible year has just passed. Overall it has been such a positive year, so many changes but all for the better. You better grab a cuppa...

Desmond & Dempsey

Did you all have an amazing Christmas? I hope you're reading this sat in your pj's on the sofa enjoying this super relaxing limbo time between Christmas and New Year. I love this time of year, spent with family and friends. Lazy mornings and afternoons sat around a fire watching films stuffing your face with endless chocolates, not forgetting the ultimate leftovers sandwich with turkey and all the trimmings.

Brewer Street

This time of year is prime for getting to shoot in the golden hour earlier in the day, which if you have read my blog for some time you'll know this is one of my favourite times of day to shoot. It casts such an incredibly unique light and warm halos around your subject. I shot these photos with Amy the last time she was down in London for my early birthday celebrations (which you can see here), although it almost looks as if we've been transported to Brooklyn... if only!! Soho, London will have to do for now.

Christmas Shopping on Oxford St

10 days to go! I repeat 10 days until CHRISTMAS!!
Last week Megan invited me a along for a day of Christmas shopping on Oxford Street, one of London's most iconic streets. We had a whole day planned out from breakfast through to visiting my favourite Christmas shopping destination. What a special way to start my birthday week and get even more festive!

Swinging Sixties with The Little Magpie

I loved working on this collaboration with Amy and Very Exclusive. I'm really chuffed, the vibe that we were able to capture really resonates with a swinging sixties feel.

This Red Valentino dress looks like Amy could have swiped it from Alexa Chung's wardrobe, and the super stylish shades from Mui Mui making Amy look like a sixties starlet. I can't believe the range of designers and brands on Very Exclusive, not a site I have looked at in the past but shall definitively be browsing from now on.

Early Birthday Celebrations with Amy

Ahead of my birthday this weekend Amy came down from Scotland for some early birthday celebrations. She wasn't able to make it down during December, so she decided to book a flight down to visit little me to celebrate and of course shoot some sassy outfits for her blog. We had such a wonderful two days together. I can honestly say I had the nicest time and arrived home feeling so content and happy!

Thoughts of a cosy weekend...

Thoughts of a cosy weekend morning walk to the local market picking up treats for the weekend. Isabella and I shot these along Broadway Market in Shoreditch and grabbed coffee at one of our favourite spots, Climpsons & Sons. A coffee shop and coffee roaster company it is always busy in there and I love the buzz the cafe has. They serve seriously good coffee met with a whole selection of tasty food. Isabella has wrapped up warm in a soft grey jumper, leather jacket and fur gillet all from Reiss. You can shop the full look on Isabella's blog. What are your plans for the weekend?

Little J's 1st Birthday

HAPPY 1st BIRTHDAY JAMES!
 aka; Little J, Jamie & J!

I can not believe its been a year since you arrived into the world and filled us with such joy. A joy that has continued to grow and grow over the past 12 months. You have changed and grown so much and learnt things faster than I could ever imagined, a little Einstein on our hands perhaps.

Start with the shoes with The Little Magpie

Dune's new campaign is called 'Start with the shoes', basing your outfit choice around choosing your shoes first. An interesting concept as I have never thought of doing this previously. By choosing your shoes first whether they're heels or flats, you can decide from there whether you want your outfit to have a casual or dressy look. I love how Amy's paired these gorgeous red heels with a casual outfit. The shoes make this whole outfit pop and give it much more flare than if Amy had worn flats. I'm definitely gonna try my hand to starting with the shoes!

Dressed in all Nude - Isabella

I love how Isabella has put together this all nude look with sleek gold details. The whole outfit is from Reiss and has such a luxurious feel. It would be perfect for so many occasions; shopping in Notting Hill, a walk along a flower market at the weekend or brunch with a group of friends.

Girls Night Out with Etsy

When Etsy contacted me to start work on a collaborative project together, my mind starting buzzing with ideas. If you're not familiar with Etsy they have a huge range of home wares, gifts, fashion and vintage items from independent brands, makers and sellers. Until starting this project I wasn't quite aware of the variety and diversity of products that are on the site, there is quite literally something for EVERYONE! There are so many sellers based in the UK that stock incredible vintage finds.

Four festive party looks with In The Frow

Four different looks all perfect for the party season, which would you choose? Victoria has teamed up with Reiss to style four outfits for a whole host of occasions across the festive season. We had such a blast shooting these looks and working out the ideal spots within the venue that suited each look. I'm looking forward to trying some of these styles myself this festive season and will definitely be stopping by Reiss for a few pieces!

Lately...

Before I start inundating you all with festive and christmas themed posts, I wanted to share some of my favourite moments from Autumn in the city. Seeing London streets transform into so many beautiful colours, the leaves changing and the days becoming shorter, makes me excited for the season to come, wrapping up warm in a new winter coats and a cosy scarf. Kicking fallen leaves whilst running for the bus is novel to start with, but mixed with rain which lets face it is inevitable can make for a heart pounding moment, will I fall won't I?! If you're familiar with my clumsy antics, tripping over during a shoot trying to get 'that' shot isn't an unusual occurrence.

Just in time for the festive season, Victoria has been given all the tips and trick to create the perfect festive Burberry look, with two lip options; a classic nude as well as a festive red with a little added sparkle.

Burgundy Loving with The Little Magpie

Last time Amy made a whistle stop in London last month we shot these outfit photos. Showcasing the perfect cosy and casual autumnal outfit in one of my fave seasonal colours- burgundy. Perfect for an afternoon out with friends and a spot of shopping! This post comes timed just after spending the past two days with this little munchkin, she came down to visit for early birthday celebrations because she's an absolute sweetheart like that! After lots of festive fun including showcasing my Bambi skills on the ice rink my cheeks ache from smiling so much! I can't wait to share the days with you in photos very soon.

When I started uploading my photos online and documenting stories as a journal on my blog I couldn't have foreseen what the future would hold. Chasing the Sunset with Isabella

What a whirlwind week it's been! It's so nice to sit down on a Sunday afternoon and reflect on the week. On Monday I shot for ASOS and got to shoot the cosy look featured in these photos with the gorgeous Isabella. On Tuesday I got to shoot with Hannah, Stefan and Grayson Michalak. You may be familiar with Hannah's Youtube channel, capturing the family in a weekly vlog diary. If you haven't seen them before, I urge you to go and check their channel out now. But I can't promise that once you do you won't be stuck for hours watching through all of their videos! I'll be sharing the photos from that shoot very soon. This weekend I have been celebrating my nephew James' 1st Birthday, I have no idea where that time has flown to. Hope you've all had a wonderful weekend!

EJ Style x DP Jewels

Having worked with Emma recently on a project for ASOS it was great to see her again so soon, this time working with Dorothy Perkins. We spent a whole day shooting her Christmas jewelry picks teamed up with party wear for the festive season. I had a lot of fun shooting this project as it was something a little different to what I usually shoot. Having a focus purely on the jewlery got me to hone in on the details of Emma's choices and some of the locations we chose worked perfectly to create a festive look and feel for these shots. As always I'd love to hear what you lovely lot think of these photos. Be sure to check out Emma's full post on EJ Style along with the Dorothy Perkins Site.

Happy Birthday Kickers!

A rather rainy morning by London Bridge the perfect location and the ultimate nostalgic collaboration. Kickers are turning 40! Megan has styled their new limited edition denim Kickers Hi-Kick boots. I love this denim version which brings them up to date with a nostalgic twist, the perfect casual boot for a lazy weekend or casual weekday outfit. These boots transport me straight back to my childhood, I remember having a pair in a dusky shade of pink. Many a happy memory of sunny summer days walking through fields in my Kickers!

Almost Famous

We're half-way through November and all of the festive adverts are inundating our ad breaks, meaning party season is upon us! Styling up her choice of party wear, Megan has opted for this coat from 'Sister Jane' and a black and metallic ensemble; channelling a serious 70’s vibe, perfectly suited to Megan. I know ‘Sister Jane’ is a brand after her own heart and after she caught sight of this jacket, she pretty much fell head over heels for the brand all over again! Make sure you go and check out Megan’s post along with ‘Sister Jane’.

Borough Market with Megan

Little Magpie & Reiss

Did you catch part two of Amy's collaboration with Reiss? You can now see her full second look on her blog. Onto Look 3! Burgundy is definitely a colour I thoroughly associate with autumn and winter, it reminds of the changing leaves and warm mugs full of mulled wine. I love how Amy's styled this two piece suit, a feminine take on a classic masculine look! A great look for day and night, swap around the accessories and this suit would be a classic go to season after season! Reiss your're fast becoming an essential... when's pay day again?

Workout Style with In The Frow

Working on this collaboration with Victoria has got me thinking, you are only battling with yourself when it comes to finding the right fitness regime for you. I for one am still yet to find what's right for me. I'm terrible when it comes to exercise, I never find or make time to have a proper workout. I urge you to go and read Victoria's full post because it's made me want to rethink my entire outlook on a fitness regime by finding out what's right for me. The gym isn't for everyone, and I'd love to hear from you as to what you do to keep fit and what ways you have found to exercise on a regular basis.

Little Magpie & Reiss

I've finally been reunited with my munchkin Amy! Last week she made a flying visit to the big smoke and we found a smidgen of time to have a catch up and a little shoot, she'd also asked if I could shoot a little something for Reiss with her. Reiss has always been a brand I've admired and lusted over and would love to work with more! The quality of their items shines through season after season. Amy's doing a three part collaboration with Reiss featuring their outerwear, so be sure to check out Amy's blog for the other parts which will be going live later this week.

Unicef Halloween Ball

Victoria invited me along to shoot at the annual Unicef Halloween Ball in London. She'd been invited to interview the glamorous invitee's who went to town with the night's theme! Celebrating at the 'Circus' for halloween had me questioning what I was seeing before my very eyes; clowns on stilts, Hugh Grant in a lion onesie, all in the name of charity. I really urge you to read the full post over on Victoria's blog if you haven't already.

Lately...

It has been a little while since I shared an update of what's been going on in the past few months. I have taken a big step to becoming fully freelance, and in the past two months I have solely been working on new projects and undertaken new work with some fabulous brands! You may have caught my collaboration with Jack Wills, Olivia & Joe back in September [see full post here]. I am really looking forward to working with more brands and continuing to expand my portfolio further. I have quite a few projects in the pipeline currently so I will be sharing the photos on my website and the full stories behind the shoots on here.

What does your fragrance say about you?

I recently collaborated with Victoria on this fragrance story for YSL for their newest scent 'Black Opium'. Such a fun shoot to work on as Victoria really wanted to create a story behind the way the fragrance made her feel. This eau du toilette version of the perfume is slightly fruitier, and the look of the bottle itself only emphasises this essence of grunge and rock chic, whilst still being feminine.

A few weekends ago I joined Megan and her sister Faye for brunch in Shoreditch. They were wearing their new personalised 'Henry London' watches. Their favourite condiments engraved on the back 'Ketchup' and 'Mayo', two very different flavours that work so well together just like Megan & Faye. The perfect start to a weekend!

Pups & Pooches at LFW

This season at LFW has been my biggest yet in terms of coverage and the wonderful ladies I've collaborated with. I thought I'd put my own spin on a different style of LFW coverage. I don't know about you but when out and about I'll spot pups and pooches, grab who I'm with and squeal "Look, how cute is that dog!!!". So across fashion week, some fashionista's carry their pooches in their arms and other pups you catch sight of are trying to keep up with their owners in 5 inch heels or a well to do gentleman in brogues, I find it unbelievable cute. Across the weekend at LFW I documented all of the adorable pups that caught my eye. I'd love to know if you like this fluffy feature and whether you'd like to see it make another appearance in the future. You can see all my coverage from London Fashion Week here.

LFW Sunday Photo Diary

Sunday kicked off with a bang at Sophia Webster's Crazy Sexy Nauticool presentation! Which was blooming FANTASTIC! A total feast for the eyes, the production, set up and concept had been so well orchestrated and put together, a real treat to see it all first hand and to not have serious FOMO seeing photos plastered all over instagram. I met up with Victoria just before seeing this presentation, you can see the outfit photos here. I hope you've enjoyed these photo diaries of my days from fashion week, I would love to know your thoughts. I have one more post to come rounding up this season's coverage from LFW.

Megan had a full on Saturday at LFW with lots of shows to attend, she also took over the 'Glamorous' instagram account for the day. Another fabulous hat gracing this outfit, I love that Megan can add in a touch of novelty and still keep her look on trend and ooze gorgeousness! This outfit is definitely something I'll be looking to recreate during the autumn months.

And then I met up with Megan, you'll be able to see her full look in an upcoming post.

On Saturday I also got to shoot this awesome Nike x John Lewis collaboration with Hayley from 'Frock Me I'm Famous' and Yani from 'Big Eyes Little Soles' as part of their #SneakerStylingSessions. Make sure you check at the ladies' posts to see more photos and info on the collaboration.

Carsten Höller - Decision

This post is a slight flashback to the beginning of the summer.  I can't believe I have not had a chance to share these photos with you all sooner. Feels as if this was just yesterday and now it's officially autumn, where did Summer run off to... come back please! Ollie, Emily, Nathan and I all headed to the Hayward Gallery to catch the Carsten Höller 'Decision' exhibit. A unique visual exhibition in which the viewer could take part. Ending with the decision of which slide to take to end your experience. The highlight of this exhibit had to be the upside down goggles! Slightly perplexed by your surroundings, everything inverted to what you're used to, which become absolutely hilarious when all we could do was bump into one another. I still get tickled thinking about it! We headed for a lunch and walk along the Southbank after and it felt as if we could have been in another country, the warmth of the sun beaming down on our rosy cheeks. Farewell Summer we'll miss you!

As soon as Megan mentioned this Joshua Kane hat to me I knew it would be a thing of beauty! Saving to wear it for the first time on London Fashion Week opening day, it caused a storm! Megan was featured on New York Times Fashion, how blooming cool is that!! I didn't keep up with how many times she got stopped and asked to be shot, very chuffed she chose me to be her photographer for LFW this season! On Sunday morning I met up with Victoria before the Sophia Webster presentation, which let me tell you was AMAZING! But more on that in an upcoming post. I feel like we've been transported to West Village in NYC in this location. I love this suede jacket of Victoria's; the perfect transitional jacket for this time of year, looks great paired with a slouchy t-shirt or a knit when it starts getting colder. Really hope you've enjoyed my daily style posts in collaboration with Victoria.

Megan - A New Venture

Megan & I only met and shot together for the first time back in February at London Fashion Week, you may remember these. I feel as if I have known Megan for years, we are such good friends. This year is flying by at astronomic speed and we have been lucky enough to work on a range of projects together throughout the year. Her newest venture is the most exciting yet, becoming a full time blogger, this has got me all proud and gushy!! I mean Megs I am so bloody proud of you and I'm super excited to be on this journey with you. We're the 'Dream Team', can't wait to share the new stuff were already working on and that we're going to continue to create. I love being part of Megan's blog and helping her to produce her creative content. Don't you guys start worrying thinking she won't be on her @ASOS_Megan accounts anymore because she's continuing to freelance as an ASOS Stylist too, multi-tasking at its finest if you ask me. I honestly insist you go and check out her newly updated site along with a little life update, of course mentioning this very exciting new venture. Let the fun begin!

EJ Style - Monochrome Layers

Yesterday I shot something a little different to my usual for ASOS. I love working with their stylist team and when they asked me to shoot some bloggers for '#AsSeenOnMe' I was there with bells on! As you may be aware if you're a fellow Londoner we've been treated to a drastic autumnal ordeal as soon as the word September was mentioned! Emma from EJ Style had the perfect outfit to combat this inbetweeny weather. One thing I absolutely LOVE about the Autumn and Winter months is layering. So this outfit has got me planning a whole host of cosy go-to items for this season's wardrobe. Also just wanted to wish Emma an incredible Wedding weekend... Go & enjoy yourself lovely!

Corner Room - Town Hall Hotel

Whilst staying at Town Hall Hotel back in July with the beautiful Isabella, she said we had to go to the 'Corner Room' for lunch. It was one of her personal favourites and I soon saw why. Having seen countless photos of this restaurant on Instagram, I was dying to see it for myself and capture the truly instagrammable set up. The food was so beautifully presented and packed a punch when it came to taste. One of the best meals I've had in a long time and one I will dream about for some time to come. I would highly recommend a visit as the food is exceptional and if you make use of their great lunch offer, very affordable too!
