Paris with Le Meridien Etoile - Day Two

Waking up from a very comfy and cosy night in my enormous bed, I rolled over to nap another 10 minutes then came to my senses, I was in PARIS!! I leaped up to get ready for another day of exploring and events in the afternoon with Ella & Christina with Le Meridien Etoile.
We met downstairs in the hotel lobby for breakfast and grabbed coffee and croissants before heading towards the river Seine. We stopped by Palais De Tokyo and took advantage of their incredible photobooth. If you've known me for any amount of time, you'll know I have an obsession with photobooths, especially the old school ones. Better still this one had a kick ass background, I could have quite happily spent an afternoon there and I'm not even joking. There's something so magical about your photo being processed instantly as you wait eagerly outside the booth - 'did I blink?' - you ask yourself, not knowing how the photo will look. I'm not sure that this magic will ever wear off for me.

We walked along the Seine towards the Eiffel Tower to take some photos while Ella sketched. It's so amazing to see her sketches come to life on the page in a matter of seconds right in front of you. She is such a talented lady, if you're not familiar with Ella's work already, go and check out her website.

Somewhere that's been on my list to visit in Paris for some time is 'Merci' which is where we headed next. I'll come back to Merci in my final Paris photo diary rounding off the trip.
We were whisked off to meet Chicago photographer Angie McMonigal and Hugo (one of the French instagrammers joining us for the #instatour) at the Pinacotheque de Paris to see the Karl Lagerfeld photography exhibition 'A Visual Journey', and were shown round by the gallery's exhibit coordinator Helianthe Bourdeaux-Maurin . It was a great tour giving us such an insight into Lagerfeld's diverse portfolio. I found it so interesting to see the different themes he'd chosen to exhibit and how they'd been displayed throughout the gallery space.

We headed back to the hotel to spruce ourselves up before meeting in the bar for drinks with the team and other instagrammers joining us for the #instatour with Angie the following day. Then we went to Les Chouettes in the heart of the neighbourhood of Le Marais for a wonderful evening of delicious food & French wine. We finally made our way back to Le Meridien Etoile for another dreamy sleep.

Looks like you had a really amazing time. The walk along the Seine was always my favourite place to spend a Sunday when I lived there. Dream!
