Guy Bourdin - Image Maker

Saphia and I headed for Somerset House to catch one of the latest photographic exhibits 'Guy Bourdin - Image Maker'. Bourdin's fashion photographs are truly iconic you can instantly see his influence on the industry. It was really inspiring to see such a back catalogue of the photographers work.  A large collection and some unseen photos from his long standing relationship with Charles Jourdan. Seeing his notebooks along with original polaroids and sketches was very intriguing. It is very clear to see how he has made such an impression on photographers today. The exhibition is on until March 15th I'd definitely recommend a visit, tickets can be booked in advance but can also be bought on the day.

We stopped by the East Wing Galleries to see 'Chris Stein/Negative: Me, Blondie, and The Advent of Punk' this exhibition really immerses you in the seventies and eighties music scene. I loved the candid shots and seeing behind the scenes photos; polaroids of Debbie Harry shot by Andy Warhol. The exhibition has been extended and now finishes on February 8th, entry is free.
