One thing I have told myself I'm going to do more of this year is write letters and send them in the post. There's something rather special about receiving post. I remember as a child being elated when I'd receive a postcard from a friend on holiday. When the thank you note (pictured above) from Jazmine came through my door, all those childhood feelings rushed back. Even if it's just a little note to remind someone that you're thinking of them, or a little thank you, it can't not brighten their day to have a personal note land on their doorstep.
Continuing on from last years 'Lately' posts this week I was staying with Ollie in London and captured bits of pieces that caught my eye throughout the week. From a portrait session to coffee dates here's what I've been up to this week.
This week has presented me with a few surprises which I am rather chuffed about. After meeting with Ella on Tuesday, an overdue catch up was certainly in order and indulging in cake was compulsory. Ella invited me on a trip to Paris, to which I replied "You'd better not be joking because I am going to pack a bag NOW!". I soon had confirmation that I'd be welcome along on the trip and now have my first trip of the year in the diary. I'm super excited and best of all its only in 11 days time!
I stopped by 'Kit & Ace' Regent St store on Wednesday morning. I'll be sure to fill you guys in on more when I have some more photos. This was followed by a coffee date with Rebecca in Soho at 'Flat White'.
Portrait shoot with Ellie & Caspar; good friends & singers at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. If you're interested in a portrait shoot please drop me an email.
On Friday I met up with Meredith to see 'Annie Leibovitz's' latest exhibition 'Women' in Wapping. A small but powerful exhibition, I'd recommend getting down there to see it before it finishes. It was amazing to see photos from one of my photographic heroes up close like that, seeing the world through Leibovitz's eyes is quite a sight to behold!
Sounds like you've had a packed week! I'm so happy to have been a part of it :) If you're free Wednesday, Thursday or next Monday, I'd love to take some photos! xx
