10 days to go! I repeat 10 days until CHRISTMAS!!
Last week Megan invited me a along for a day of Christmas shopping on Oxford Street, one of London's most iconic streets. We had a whole day planned out from breakfast through to visiting my favourite Christmas shopping destination. What a special way to start my birthday week and get even more festive!
We started the day meeting at 'Lanes of London' right by Marble Arch tube station. Already both feeling very festive as we walked through the gorgeous decorated door and entrance, we both opted for a full English breakfast, which 100% set us up for the day ahead.
We wandered down Oxford Street to the enormous new 'Lush' shop. Spanning 3 floors the flagship store is home to everything that Lush produces; bath, shower, skincare, make-up and fragrances all under the one roof! We left with our arms full of beauty treats and headed onto Oxford Street armed with our Oxford Street gift card to shop to our hearts' content.
We worked up quite an appetite browsing through the shops, trying on festive glad rags and choosing presents. We made our way to St Christopher's Place which has a whole range of restaurants and shops. We opted to eat at Coco Chan, a Pan Asian restaurant with so many delicious dim sum dishes.
After lunch we headed to Selfridges, which in my humble opinion is the ultimate Christmas shopping destination. I challenge you to leave the place not feeling suitably festive or bowled over by the sheer amount of choice this department store has to offer. It's such a classic and iconic landmark on Oxford Street. Selfridges has it all in the lead up to Christmas, the entire 4th floor is dedicated to the occasion boasting personalised decorations and sacks of presents as well as personalised nutella jars for the person in your life with that ultra sweet tooth. You can create or choose from a range of bespoke hampers in the food department. I bought one of these for my Dad last year and he LOVED it! A hamper with tea, coffee, jams and biscuits, a wonderful treat to enjoy across the Christmas season.
Megan and I quite literally shopped till we dropped. We stayed at the Radison Blu Edwardian Berkshire Hotel, right next to Debenhams. Talk about a cracking location!! We had our own terrace which overlooked Oxford Street which really was a magical experience. A great night's sleep prepping us for another day of Christmas shopping!
I'll let you in on a little secret, Santa shops in Selfridges!
London and New York are both cities I would love to visit at Christmas time! Your photos are beautiful and so festive <3
